The Melting Pot

Jane's daughter, Giannina, was in town over the weekend. Giannina and I were good friends a long time ago, and it's been 15 years since we've seen each other! We went for dessert to a place called The Melting Pot. Here's Sasha and her chocolate-covered mouth:

Sasha missed her friends while we were away in New Mexico. We were both so happy to see Sonya, Xena and Bo again:











Sasha helping out - She's been wanting to help us do laundry, cook and clean. So we try to make it possible for her to do these things, to help her feel like she's contributing.
If it's dangerous for her though, she's content with just pretending, as shown here:



Even though it's faster and easier to clean up after her, we try to encourage her to help us clean her messes. Most of the time, she's the one who reminds us to let her do it "all my by myself" : )
