Here's a video of Sasha showing off her cute personality. She started doing this funny stomach laugh:

We went for a walk today, just around the neighborhood. That's our little apartment in the back corner, with the wagon in front:

We came back with bright red noses and frozen fingers, so we decided that a cup of hot chocolate would be perfect!

Sasha is always soo happy when Daddy comes home at the end of the day. Here she is showing her joy at being in his arms:

Working on her new project: Matching the word to the picture. She can't really do it yet. For now I'm just letting her get familiarized with the words. Later we'll do the matching.

When we put dishes away, Sasha loves to be in charge of the silverware:

Cooking is still one of her favorite things to do - (Just like Daddy!)

We found a great indoor park..perfect for this cold weather. Unfortunately it's not free so we've only been there once!

Since we're forced to be more indoors now, Sasha and I have been working on a few little projects which, if nothing else, have been a lot of fun to work on.
Here's a little booklet that has pictures of Sasha and her friends/family (just children) as well as children from all around the world. Sasha helped me with the layout and chose the pictures of the flowers. She tried to help me with the stick of glue, but ended up only wanting to use it as chap stick!

We're also making a little prayer book for her. Recently she has sat down a few times and pretended to read. She'll run her finger along the words (as we do sometimes when we read to her). So I printed out the prayers that she knows in big letters. We'll add more as she learns more. When we sit down at night to say prayers, we give her the book and she "reads" her memorized prayers.

This is her Seasons project. She has to stick the correct pictures under the correct Season on each poster. They have pieces of Velcro so she can take them on and off easily.
I'm always trying to think of new projects so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know! : )

hi sweetie!
i've been trying to leave comments for... well, forever, but my computer at work won't let me :( so finally i'm on your blog at home and i can send you a note!

i miss you so much and am so happy that i'll be seeing you soon :) i can't wait to give you a big ol' hug and let sasha and akeva play together... it's been such a long time and there's so much to talk about! just a couple more weeks...

you are being so creative and such a wonderful teacher for sasha. how do you think of all these things for her? :) when i see you, i want to ask you all sorts of questions on what i can be doing with akeva at her age, what you used to do with sasha, etc... sasha seems so happy and joyful and intelligent!

anyway, you seem to be doing really really well and that makes me extremely happy :) i loved seeing the photos from CR, seeing everybody who's been coming to visit your dad, and how ela is growing so big too! it seemed like a wonderful trip.

i'll talk to you soon (call me if you can!) and see you in a couple weeks :)
