Barry and Kathy sent Sasha the most adorable clothes. We're so grateful for this gift. Thank you!
Sasha and I opened up the box and immediately tried them on! Here she is modeling some of her new outfits:
While we were in Florida, Barry was telling us about his journal which he has had for over 20 years and has written in every single day! It was pretty interesting to go back three years and find out the exact happenings of a particular day.
James and I realized that our bog is kind of like a diary, and it's archived so nicely. So this encouraged me to include more details of Sasha's development:
Sasha's interests and activities:
Bead sorting:
Shell sorting:
Zipping:
Snapping:
Using a funnel:
Picture taking:
Reading in her new reading corner:
Playing with play dough. Here's her gingerbread man:
And her ice cream cone:
Putting all her corn bread into her soup:
Here's some of her art work. We've been working with scissors, glue and glitter:
This is a new activity to help develop her senses of smell and hearing. The bottles on the left with the pink cloth have different spices. There are two of each. She has to smell one and find it's match.
The bottles on the right have things in them to make them sound differently. Two have beans, two have rice, and two have glitter. She has to shake one and find the other that makes the same sound.
She loves this last activity and can do it perfectly.
This one is the same as the above, but for the sense of touch. She feels each fabric and finds it's match. I've included felt, cotton, silk, and linen.
Taken in Maine. Kitty, Samantha and Caroline flew out to Maine to be present for the birth of Erica's baby, Alma June Wallace.
Caroline's return flight left from Boston so Sasha and I happily drove up to Maine to pick her up! Here she is with Kitty:
Caroline and Akeva's visit:
Sasha's activities with me consist of challenging her mentally. But as soon as James comes home, she gets her much-needed physical challenges! She chases, runs away from, climbs up and dances with Daddy:

Florida
We're back from an incredible time in Florida!
Barry and Kathy are wonderful hosts. They made sure we were comfortable and happy - and we were!
Kathy prepared us a most perfect Thanksgiving dinner.. the picture I took of it didn't do it justice. She also prepared scrumptious meals the rest of the time we were there.
They took us to the Sarasota Jungle Gardens where we saw all kinds of beautiful birds, monkeys, alligators and snakes. We walked around town, went to the beach, the park, and hung out at the house, where Sasha had lots of fun swimming in the pool and playing with the dogs, and James and Barry had their endless talks about Math and Science!
It was a fun, warm and relaxing time for us. Thank you so much!
Barry played the Mandolin for Sasha:
Twirling to the music:
Sasha loved playing with these incredibly cute dogs. Here's a Pomeranian named Muffin:
And a Pekingese named Boo:
Pretending to be taking a bath:
She's getting really good at posing so sweetly for the camera:
Walking around town:
Sleeping beauty on our last night:
I wanted to include two beautiful pictures of Barry and Kathy taken in Hawaii:
Taken ten years later:
Wary of the flamingos:
Arriving at the beach:
When we got back, my sister Jaleh, (who's in town for Thanksgiving) came over to visit with her half-sister, Anna:
